The role of implicit contracts: Building public works in the 1840s in Portugal

This article studies financial schemes for building public works in the 1840s. The study of the Portuguese case clearly illustrates the importance of implicit contracts with governments in peripheral Europe, shedding light on solutions for financing the provision of public goods. Building roads and railways seems to have been the fruit of an implicit contract behind the tobacco monopoly in a country involved in social turmoil and civil wars. Reputation effects are called to explain the relevant range of the partners' negotiations, to reject the traditional historiography based on wrong management and speculation in a period of savage capitalism.     

Satisfaction and dimensions of control among call centre customer service representatives

This study explores the perceptions of HR managers on the strategic management of labour turnover in a selection of large hotels in Australia and Singapore. The main argument is that the effects of labour turnover can be mitigated with strategically managed human resources through the four key HR activities. The hotel industries in both Singapore and Australia revealed a comparable range of HR policies and practices being adopted, with an explicit recognition of the contribution an organization’s human resources have on the bottom-line. There was a clear convergence towards minimizing turnover primarily through the recruitment, selection and induction processes. This was despite fundamental social, economic and labour differences between Singapore and Australia.

工作面横向压力分布规律研究

本文以某矿工作面为工程背景,采用ANSYS数值计算方法,分析了工作面矿压分布规律。结果表明,工作面两端头压力均呈现出一种降低的趋势,同时工作面中部压力有明显的增大趋势。     

高压水表在渤南油田注水计量中的适应性分析

对胜利渤南油田多年使用的旋翼式流量计(高压水表)在结构设计、加工装配质量以及计量范围等方面存在的问题进行了分析。现场数据表明:由于近年来油田注水水质及配伍性等问题对地层的长期作用,导致注水状况恶化,使得该高压水表的计量误差达到-600～700m3/d,计量范围不能满足计量要求。对高压水表存在问题的原因进行了详细的分析:传动机构的组件磨损是导致误差的主要原因。建议使用新一代的水井仪表:主要有改进后的旋翼式电子水表、漩涡流量计、磁电流量计等。     

压力的根源与组织压力管理机制的建构

论文对职业压力的概念进行了综述,并对职业压力及其特征进行了界定,分析了压力的来源与我国企业压力管理的现状,并提出了组织压力管理机制建构的应对策略。
